Maple trip to Winchester Science Museum

This event will take place between 8:35am and 3:15pm on 14/10/2025

This term the children in Maple Class will be visiting the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium to learn more about the Space topic we are covering in our Science studies.

 

 

There will be an opportunity to explore the Centre including:

 

· WORKSHOP - Entitled ‘Destination Space’.

· PLANETARIUM SHOW- Visiting the Centre’s real-time planetarium software to give a live flight through the solar system.

· FREE TIME - To explore the exhibits.

· There will be no visit to the gift shop, so please do not send any money on the day.

 

1. Date of visit: 14th October 2025

2. Cost, including transport, entry to the Centre, workshop and the Planetarium: £29 (payment via Arbor)

3. Depart School: Please arrive at school at 8.25am through the pedestrian gate for early registration.

4. Return to School: Expected return 3.15pm.

5. Lunch: Children must bring a packed lunch, with no glass bottles or can, in a small draw-string bag, e.g. PE bag.

6. Uniform: children must wear school uniform and bring appropriate cold/wet weather coats.

 

 

Although this payment is a voluntary contribution, you should note that if there are insufficient parent/carers willing to pay this amount, the visit may not take place. However, if you have any difficulties in making this payment, please feel free to come in to speak to either myself or Mr Sherwood.
